A 15 minute drive & 5 minute ferry away. Whether it's fishing you're after or seeking the island time lifestyle, Spanish Wells may be a stop for you. Renting a boat (or golf cart) at Harbourside Rentals is a breeze & affordable. If you prefer a captain, that can be arranged among the local charters for swimming, snorkeling, fishing & sight seeing. We see dolphins, manatees & turtles every visit. Great restaurants too!

The Bahama Mama is a family owned home that we share for exclusive guests. It's our 'Dream Come True'. We have traveled to the island of Eleuthera for many years & happy to share what we know. The home sits well-positioned in North Eleuthera, an Out Island of the Bahamas. There's much to do, *sea* & explore– But if relaxation is the goal, you'll easily find peace & tranquility year round. In your own backyard, during low tide there's a sandbar you can walk out on for over a mile!

Check-in is at 3:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM unless otherwise discussed. We may consider an exception or at the least provide luggage storage to accommodate varying flight times.
Generally speaking, yes. Eleuthera is made up of settlements, rather than towns or cities. There are no night clubs & you can often find yourself completely alone at many of the pristine beaches. Most come here for that! Harbour island is typically the place to go for nightlife (or Pineapples at the ferry) but Governors Harbor also offers restaurants & beach bar scenes to explore– Highly recommend Tippys & the beautiful reef right out front.
Yes. While we are still working on our House Book, there is a beach & snorkel guide on the living room table that offers great information on specific locations with coordinates. Google Maps works well here & many establishments are properly mapped. If there is something else you need information on, just ask!
Yes, we require a minimum stay of 2 nights but highly recommend staying longer.
Yes, we do allow pets!
At this time we have a water cistern that provides ample water in the event the public water goes out. This can happen from time to time. We do not have a generator at this time. However, we plan to install one in the near future. For now, there is an external heavy duty battery to plug the refrigerator in if the power goes out. If it does go out, it usually returns within 2-6 hours.
Eleuthera is a beautiful island with unique plants & animals. It is some of the best parts to enjoy! You may see an occasional snake in the bushes or a spider in its web, however, we do not often see creatures inside. Please remember to keep the screens shut when windows are open.
